Job summary

Sun Life in Manila is seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for enterprise apps. The role emphasizes AWS, automation, governance, and cost optimization.

You will administer AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC) and collaborate with security, operations, and business teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions. Strong scripting, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years IT experience including cloud infrastructure roles.
• Proven design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• Hands-on proficiency with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC).
• Experience in cloud governance, security controls, and cost optimization.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Cloud Dev Ops is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions. The role focuses on AWS cloud services, automation, governance, operational stability, performance, and cost optimization while collaborating with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams.

• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, encryption, access controls, vulnerability management, and monitoring.

• Experience supporting cloud governance, architecture standards, security controls, cost management, and optimization practices.
• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent are preferred.

• Monitor cloud resources for availability, performance, utilization, security, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment, access, and service availability issues across environments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant cloud solutions.
• Contribute to automation, standardization, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement of cloud operations.
