Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a senior Analytics Engineer to own and advance a Snowflake data platform for a global SaaS business. You will design models, KPIs, and reporting standards to support data-driven decisions across Finance, Product, CX, and other stakeholders.

The role emphasizes semantic layers, automated testing, CI/CD, and governance, with remote collaboration across international teams. Strong SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI skills are essential, plus experience with dbt and ETL/ELT

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance the Snowflake modelling layer using a medallion architecture.
• Develop and govern semantic models, KPIs, and reporting standards.
• Centralise reporting logic for consistent definitions across analytics platforms.
• Deliver BI solutions including executive and operational reporting.
• Create automated testing frameworks to validate data quality and metric accuracy.
• Manage transformation code, version control, and CI/CD deployments.
• Optimise SQL performance and Snowflake compute efficiency.
• Prepare curated datasets supporting AI-driven analytics.
• Support data ingestion, replication, and pipeline monitoring.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 4 years' experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Development.
• Advanced SQL expertise with strong experience in Snowflake environments.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query, and DAX.
• Experience building semantic layers or governed metrics frameworks.
• Exposure to dbt or similar transformation tools using Git-based development practices.
• Experience with ELT pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools used for analytics development, testing, and optimisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and business users.
• Experience with PostgreSQL migrations would be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to Python, Fivetran, AWS ingestion tools, or Snowflake AI capabilities is beneficial.
