Job summary

Security Bank Corporation (Philippines) is seeking an Analytics Department Head to lead the Reports and Analytics Team and Data Management officers in generating timely reports and performing critical analysis for strategic decision-making within the Collections Division.

The role ensures accurate data management across multiple data sources and drives structured reporting and data-driven strategy execution to support Collections operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics or mathematics.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in banking analytics.
• Experience leading a team (people management).
• Experience in collections and risk reporting/analytics in banking.

Responsibilities

• Determine the feasible workload of each Data Management officer and support the Reports and Analytics Team Leader in handling the workload of the team.
• Manage the unit’s capacity and implement changes with approval from Strategy & Analytics Department Head.
• Set up and maintain a structured approach in implementing and enhancing reports and data-dependent strategy execution.
• Manage resources to develop and maintain standard reports to evaluate collections processes and portfolio changes, delivering to responsible parties within timeframe.
• Ensure the unit can gather, consolidate and maintain large data sets from multiple systems for reporting needs.
• Monitor data gathering/consolidation to identify data quality issues and ensure data utilization.

About the Role

As an Analytics Department Head is responsible for leading and managing the Reports and Analytics Team and Data Management officers in generating reports and providing related analysis for the Collections Division. The purpose of this role is to ensure the Analytics Unit is providing the required support to the Collections Division in terms timely report creation and diligent analysis for strategic decision-making. The role also ensures accurate and consistent data management is conducted in support of all data needs.

How you’ll contribute

• Determine the feasible workload of each Data Management officer and support the Reports and Analytics Team Leader in handling the workload of the team

• Responsible for managing the overall unit’s capacity and implementing required changes with approval from the Strategy & Analytics Department Head

• Set up and maintain a structured approach in implementing and enhancing reports and data-dependent strategy execution

• Manage the unit resources to ensure development and maintenance of standard set of performance reports to evaluate all collections processes (operative reports, productivity reports, efficiency reports, etc.), and portfolio changes (cure rate trends, recovery rate trends, cost-efficiency trends, etc.), and ensure they are delivered to the responsible parties within an acceptable timeframe by Analytics Officers

• Ensure unit is able to gather, consolidate and maintain large collections of data from different systems and sources (dialer, collections systems, portfolio systems, customer data, etc) to be made available for reporting needs

• Monitor the data gathering and consolidation process (performed by Analytics Unit) to ensure utilization of data properly and to identify any data quality issues that may arise.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematics.

• With at least 5- 8 years of relevant experience, with advanced knowledge on programming tools/languages such as R, SQL, SAS, Visual Basic, Power BI, AWS, etc.

• Experience in Collections and Risk reporting and analytics in a Banking industry

• With experience in leading team (people management).
