Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, SCM, or Business Administration is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years in Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, or Transportation/Logistics roles, preferably in BPO/ Shared Services.
• Knowledge of freight billing, carrier payments, transportation documentation (e.g., BOLs), and invoice reconciliation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist carriers with aging reports for invoices paid through freight pay systems.
• Manually rerate invoices if rates are missing or add adjustment charges for uncontracted (accessorial) charges.
• Monitor payment system queues and troubleshoot invoices in error status with other teams.
• Monitor invoice disputes and approve/reject carrier disputes with provided backup.
• Maintain data in the freight pay system (locations, carrier information, GLs, cost centers).
• Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide feedback and improvements on freight pay systems and processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely freight payments through shipment validation, invoice review, and stakeholder coordination.

What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health

This role ensures freight invoices are processed timely and paid within contracted payment terms. This person collaborates with [some] third parties, site contacts, and freight pay supervisor to ensure the technology is functionally supporting payment processing requirements.

Short and mid-term, the role ensures carrier aging invoices are minimized through cases, keep carriers current on payments for freight they’ve moved in our network, investing in their future position to continue to support our business.

Longer term, the role enforces the establishment of processes and adherence via day-to-day execution, minimizing risk.

The role requires integrity for financial transactions, as the role is accountable to managing cost accuracy and timely processing to contractual terms.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting Cardinal Health’s freight pay and audit process and systems. This position is instrumental in fostering change with internal and external customers through the planning, organizing, and implementation of logistics solutions. It will support work with cross-functional teams, such as IT, operations, logistics service providers, customer service, finance, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Assist carriers with aging reports for invoices that are/will be paid through the various freight pay systems. This includes pulling the aging reports directly from the payment system.
• Manually rerate invoices if rates are missing from various payment system and/or manually add adjustment charges if we need to pay for an uncontracted (accessorial) charge.
• Monitor payment system queues, troubleshoot invoices in error status by collaborating with the appropriate teams to understand how to remediate errors, manage work cases in Salesforce.com ques.
• Monitor invoices disputes and either reject or approve carrier disputes based on the information and backup documentation provided.
• Responsible for data maintenance in the freight pay system such as adding or removing Cardinal Health locations, carrier information, GLs, and cost centers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide feedback and improvements on freight pay systems and processes.

• Ensure accurate and timely freight payments through shipment validation, invoice review, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

Internal

• Open to B3s, B4s & P1s
• Achieved minimum 3.0/ Meets on last performance appraisal
• Should meet internal qualifications: minimum1 yr in current role ; no active DAs / not under a prescriptive period stipulated on Employee Handbook; not under any performance improvement plan (PIP) n the previous 12 months to present; has not applied to the same role in the last 6 months
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, or Freight Payment is an advantage.
• Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Freight Operations is an advantage

External

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, or Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Freight Payment / Freight Operations, preferably in BPO/ Shared Services space
• Knowledge of freight billing, carrier payments, transportation documentation (e.g., BOLs), and invoice reconciliation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
