Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a specialist to support product development and pricing by assisting in policy contract preparation and the development and maintenance of policy forms to meet business and regulatory requirements.

The role involves preparing and submitting documents for regulatory product filings and coordinating with the Insurance Commission on submission status. A background in life insurance and willingness to pursue LOMA courses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in using computers and standard office applications.
• Knowledge of life insurance products or familiarity with the life insurance company’s business operations.
• Adapts readily to changing priorities and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and revision of policy provisions, application forms, ancillary forms, and other documents required for product launches.
• Prepares and submits product filing documents to the Insurance Commission (IC), coordinates with the IC on submission status, drafts supporting regulatory documents, and addresses additional requirements raised after the initial submission.
• Maintains, updates, and safeguards the department’s central library of policy forms approved by the Insurance Commission.
