Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Philippines is seeking an Analyst, Global Finance Operations (GFO) to support OTC Accounts Receivable and Reporting in Manila. You will ensure accurate billing, timely reporting, and investigate customer disputes while collaborating with internal teams, BPO partners, and external clients to improve processes and drive automation.

The role requires a detail-oriented mindset, 3+ years in Order to Cash or related finance operations, and proficiency in ERP systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 3+ years in Order to Cash or related finance operations including managing BPO/Shared Service Center.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (TEAMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Process and validate billing data, including price protection, sales order exceptions, and rebate approvals.
  • Reconcile sales transactions with billing outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in research and resolution of billing discrepancies, credit memos, and customer claims with BPO and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain AR aging reports, billing status summaries, and collection trend analyses.
  • Support month-end close with reconciliations, data validation, and reporting deliverables.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting needs, audit requests, and management inquiries with timely data.

Working Hours: 5am to 2pm Manila time to overlap with U.S. business hours.
The opportunity

We are looking for an Analyst, Global Finance Operations (GFO), to join our team in the Philippines.

In this role, you will support the global OTC Accounts Receivables and Reporting supported in Manila for assigned businesses. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate billing, timely reporting, and research of customer disputes.

You will also collaborate closely with internal teams, external customers, and BPO partners to maintain data integrity, provide insightful reporting, and support ongoing transformation projects focused on process efficiency and automation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, familiarity with AR processes, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.

What you’ll do
Billing and Accounts Receivable Support
  • Process and validate billing data, including price protection, sales order exceptions, and rebate approvals.
  • Reconcile sales transactions with billing outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of key accounts (e.g., Apple, Amazon, Google, etc.).
  • Assist in research and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, and customer claims in partnership with the BPO and internal stakeholders.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare and maintain detailed AR aging reports, billing status summaries, and collection trend analyses.
  • Support month-end close process with reconciliations, data validation, and reporting deliverables.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting needs, audit requests, and management inquiries with accurate and timely data.
Process Improvement and Transformation Initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that improve automation, reduce manual billing touchpoints, and enhance OTC accuracy.
  • Support ongoing OTC transformation and ESOAR efforts to drive accuracy and efficiency in billing and collections.
What you need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in Order to Cash, or related finance operations including managing BPO/Shared Service Center.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including TEAMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.); experience with reporting tools is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive resolution.
  • Experience in the media or digital entertainment industry a plus.
  • The working hours for this role is 5am to 2pm Manila time to overlap with U.S. business hours. You must be comfortable and able to work this schedule on an ongoing basis.
