Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. seeks a Business Requirements Analyst to translate business needs into functional requirements for our payments platform. You will collaborate with the solution architect and end-users to ensure alignment with objectives.

Onsite roles in Makati/Ortigas, with exposure to SWIFT, PesoNet, and other payment schemes, and participation across multiple project lifecycles from design to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to the job.
• 3–5 years of professional experience driving business requirements, preferably in financial services.
• Part of the execution team for a minimum of 3 projects from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Payment hub configuration experience for Domestic, International, or Instant payment schemes and end-to-end payments lifecycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements based on business requirements.
• Identify gaps in business requirements and follow up with end-users to detail them.
• Explain proposed solutions to business users and how they meet requirements.
• Understand business processes and expected outcomes to map features to requirements.
• Understand product features and map them to functional requirements.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis on products and develop alternative approaches.
• Support product evaluation during service definition phase.
• Manage changes in functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop test cases, plans, and data for requirements.
• Assist in functional testing.
• Ensure operations align with business objectives and requirements.

Job Mandate

• Understand the business requirements comprehensively and develop functional requirements based on the product/platform on which the solution is going to be deployed.
• Work with the solution architect to ensure all requirements are addressed by the solution as per business expectations.
• Develop test cases, test data and assist in functional testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements, based on business requirements.
• Identify any gaps in business requirements and follow up with end-users to detail the requirements.
• Explain to business users how the proposed solution will address their business requirements.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the business processes, business organization, and expected business outcomes.
• Understand the product features and out-of-box requirements and map these to the functional requirements.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis on products and develop reasonable working alternatives.
• Support the product evaluation during the service definition phase.
• Manage the changes in functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop the test cases, test plan and test data for the requirements.
• Assist in conducting functional testing.
• Ensure the operational support processes are aligned with the business objectives and stated business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in driving business requirements (experience in financial services organizations is a plus).
• Part of the execution team for a minimum of 3 projects, and should have worked end-to-end on those projects from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Payment hub configuration experience is a must for a minimum of one of the following: Domestic, International, or Instant payment schemes.
• Prior implementation experience in SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, PesoNet, PhilPaSS, PDDTS, GSRT or InstaPay.
• Good knowledge of end-to-end payments lifecycle, from initiation till accounting and delivery to clearing house.
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas
