Job summary

Mount Carmel Medical Center in the Philippines is seeking a dedicated ambulance driver to safely operate and drive the hospital ambulance for emergency and non-emergency patient transport, ensuring prompt response to calls and safe transfer between facilities.

You will assist medical personnel with loading and unloading patients, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain clear records of trips and vehicles, and uphold hospital policies and traffic laws to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive the hospital ambulance for emergency and non-emergency patient transport
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and transport patients to and from healthcare facilities
• Assist medical personnel in safely loading and unloading patients
• Ensure the ambulance is clean, sanitary, properly equipped, and ready for use
• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the ambulance
• Check and maintain basic vehicle supplies, equipment, fuel, and emergency tools
• Follow traffic laws, hospital policies, and emergency driving procedures
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance concerns immediately to the appropriate supervisor
• Assist patients and companions with courtesy and professionalism during transportation
