Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced AI Security Architect to provide security architecture and advisory across a cloud-enabled technology environment with growing adoption of AI, Generative AI and emerging technologies.

The role collaborates with Technology, Engineering, Cloud, Data and Cybersecurity teams to ensure security is embedded into new solutions from the design stage, and welcomes candidates with strengths in Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security or Security

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Cybersecurity.
• Good understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience working within cloud or cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge across Application/API Security, IAM, Data Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Security and Security Monitoring.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or AI security is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform security architecture and design reviews across applications, cloud platforms, AI solutions and emerging technologies.
• Identify security risks and design gaps and recommend practical security controls and architecture improvements.
• Provide security guidance for AI and Generative AI solutions, including AI platforms, applications, data flows and integrations.
• Assess security considerations across cloud, applications, APIs, IAM, data protection and infrastructure.
• Work with engineering teams to embed security-by-design and secure SDLC practices throughout technology development.
• Develop reusable security architecture principles, standards, patterns and technical guardrails.
• Support threat modelling, security assessments and technical risk reviews for new technology initiatives.
• Partner with Cloud, Application, Data and AI teams to enable secure adoption of new technologies.
• Monitor emerging security threats and technologies and recommend improvements to the security architecture.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Cybersecurity, ideally within Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security, Security Engineering or Technology Risk.
• Good understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience working within cloud or cloud-native environments, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge across areas such as Application/API Security, IAM, Data Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Security and Security Monitoring.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or AI security would be advantageous, but candidates with strong security architecture fundamentals and an interest in developing deeper AI security expertise are encouraged to apply.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modelling or security risk assessments.
• Ability to work closely with architects, developers, engineers and cybersecurity teams and translate security requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
