Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking an AI Safety & Policy Associate to join its global AI Community. You will evaluate and annotate data, apply safety guidelines, and help prevent harmful AI behavior before it reaches users.

You’ll work remotely with a diverse team, classify harmful content, verify facts, and provide feedback to governance leads to refine safety policies, contributing to safe, high-quality AI models used by millions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Native language proficiency mandatory.
• English proficiency at least B1 (Intermediate).
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated responses against safety rubrics to flag bias, misinformation, or prohibited topics.
• Classify various types of harm (e.g., hate speech, self-harm, illegal acts) to define boundary lines.
• Verify factual accuracy of model claims using reliable sources to prevent hallucinations.
• Apply complex policy documents to edge cases to ensure consistent model alignment.
• Report recurring model weaknesses to Governance Leads to refine safety policies.
