Job summary

CodeRound is seeking a Research Engineer to advance AI for construction take-off and estimation. You will work with unstructured data like blueprints, drawings and PDFs, driving end-to-end lifecycle from prototyping to production deployment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply state-of-the-art CV/NLP techniques, and build scalable models using PyTorch, TensorFlow and HuggingFace in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying DL/CV/NLP to unstructured construction data.
• Prototyping, experimentation and deployment of AI solutions.
• Strong Python and ML framework experience (PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research and development on CV or NLP for construction data.
• Build and optimize models to extract insights from blueprints, PDFs and SVGs.
• Develop multi-modal models integrating vision and language features.
• Follow data-centric ML practices, experiment tracking and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with software engineers, ML researchers, and product teams to deploy ideas.
• Write clean, scalable production-ready Python code using major frameworks.
