Job summary

Bold Business is seeking a data enthusiast to lead the foundation of a unified data layer, enabling seamless access for future AI agents and an upcoming ERP consolidation. You will own canonical data models and an integrated data stack spanning accounts, contacts, candidates, deals, and work records.

You will design validation, coordination of the integration layer with engineers, and the semantic layer for Power BI, setting up dashboards for future ERP insights and robust data governance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on data and analytics experience with heavy data-modeling responsibilities.
• Proven track record designing a canonical data model across multiple source systems and articulate trade-offs in identity resolution/deduplication.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design, normalization trade-offs, migrations and query performance tuning.
• SQL proficiency for data exploration, auditing, reconciliation, and cross-database validation.
• Python expertise for transforming data and building pipelines.
• Experience building/integrating with commercial SaaS APIs, handling rate limits and schema updates.
• Strong understanding of data-layer security, with structural enforcement of authorization and field-level restrictions.
• Proactive adoption of AI tools to accelerate pipeline creation and improve data quality.
• Curiosity and rigor for inspecting, validating, and establishing trust in business metrics.

Responsibilities

• Define entity structures, relationships, and identity-resolution logic for core entities across accounts, contacts, candidates, deals, projects, and work records.
• Establish upfront data validation rules to prevent low-quality records entering systems.
• Coordinate with full-stack engineers to maintain a flexible integration layer that minimizes code rewrites.
• Build and govern the semantic layer for Power BI to unify legacy reports and enable future ERP dashboards.
• Design clean, permissioned read paths so internal AI agents can read structured data directly.
• Own data quality and serve as the point of contact for recurring data defects.
• Lead data migration strategies from retired legacy systems while preserving history and audit trails.
• Apply Lean principles and AI to reduce data failures, detect early indicators, and define KPIs/SLAs.
• Monitor and process unstructured data inputs including speech, text, and sentiment across channels.
