Job summary

Maya is seeking a Data Science Lead to drive AI, ML, and customer intelligence across the Maya ecosystem. You will lead a team of data scientists to develop production-grade analytics, segmentation, and recommendation systems that enhance acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue.

The role collaborates with Marketing, Product, Growth, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to operationalize intelligence and establish best practices in the Data Science function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• At least 7+ years in Data Science/ML/AI.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience building clustering, propensity, recommendations, classification, and predictive models.
• Experience with marketing, growth, CRM, lifecycle, or customer analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of AI, ML, and analytics solutions.
• Translate business challenges into scalable data science roadmaps.
• Oversee customer intelligence, segmentation, propensity modeling, recommendations.
• Maintain model development standards: validation, explainability, governance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Growth, CRM to operationalize models.
• Drive adoption of emerging AI technologies and experimentation frameworks.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing Data Science team.
