Job summary

Octal Philippines Incorporated is hiring two Full-Stack Developers, Data Applications, to build backend data pipelines and a self-service application layer. You will work across Python pipelines, Snowflake workflows, REST API integrations, and web-based self-service apps replacing 40+ Alteryx Gallery apps used daily by five internal teams.

The role embraces an AI-assisted development model, using Claude and other tools as active co-authors across the engineering lifecycle to accelerate delivery

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Python development experience in a production codebase.
• Proficiency with Snowflake SQL, including joins, CTEs and write operations.
• Experience designing end-to-end data pipelines and selecting AWS services.
• Strong REST API experience including OAuth2, pagination, and parsing JSON/XML.
• Full-stack capability with Python backend (Flask or FastAPI) and HTML/JS frontend.
• Hands-on AWS data pipeline architecture knowledge for data workloads from scratch.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools as active co-authors in engineering.
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools for autonomous AI execution.
• Ability to reverse-engineer undocumented legacy workflows and reproduce outputs in a new stack.
• Git proficiency with branching, PRs, and versioned releases.
• Experience owning data pipelines serving multiple consumers in production.
