Job summary

KIRA is seeking a product leader to own a complex, AI-enabled payments platform in a remote, globally distributed team. You will shape design, maintain a backlog prioritized by value and risk, and drive decisions across engineering, design and compliance.

This role demands strong technical judgment, experience with regulated domains, and the ability to navigate trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost and UX. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end with strong judgement under ambiguity.
• Solid system design and ability to review and challenge design docs.
• Experience in regulated/high-consequence domains (payments, banking, remittance, insurance).
• Hands-on with LLM-based products; framing features for eval and handling hallucination/data gaps.
• Nice to have: engineer or tech-PM background; shipped AI-heavy consumer products; SEA market experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product outcomes and maintain a prioritized backlog.
• Shape technical design with engineering – money-movement correctness, reliability, and security.
• Make deliberate trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, reliability and UX.
• Apply AI with governance: define what can be decided, who stays in the loop, how evaluated.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Finance/Reconciliation.
