Job summary

Enterprise AI Group in Manila is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to own and grow backend capabilities for AI-driven enterprise products. You will work in a Manila-based team with exposure to Azure, AI-enabled services, and cross-functional collaboration with Sydney to ship production-grade software.

The role requires hands-on backend development, independent work, and strong planning, with a focus on secure, scalable systems and rapid delivery in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering.
• Experience with FastAPI and/or Flask.
• Strong SQL and/or NoSQL fundamentals.
• Comfortable with GitHub and CI/CD.
• Experience with RAG, LLMs, OpenAI or similar AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI/Flask and TypeScript/Node.
• Design and work with APIs, databases and microservices.
• Work across Azure services including containers, storage, configuration and APIs.
• Build and support AI-enabled backend services using LLMs, RAG and OpenAI technologies.
• Deploy and operate software in production.
• Work with CI/CD, DevOps and data management.
• Review AI-generated code and ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable shipping.
• Collaborate with Manila and Sydney engineering teams.
