Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a QA/test engineer to own API test automation and AI-driven testing within enterprise tech programs. You will design API tests with Pytest, drive AI-assisted test generation, and manage synthetic/masked data to ensure quality.

You will also implement self-healing patterns and lead non-functional testing across performance, resilience, and security hooks. In this role, you will triage defects, work with the BA on acceptance criteria, and coordinate with engineers on test hooks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on QA/test engineering experience on enterprise technology programs.
• Strong API test automation experience against microservices; Go or equivalent.
• Hands-on use of AI-native test tooling for test-case generation and data.
• Test data management including synthetic/masked data and PII handling.
• Strong defect triage and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own iteration test strategy and test plans aligned to strategy.
• Design and build API-level automated tests using pytest framework.
• Drive AI-led test case generation and synthetic data generation.
• Implement self-healing automation patterns to reduce flakiness.
• Own non-functional test coverage including performance, resilience, and security hooks.
• Triage, reproduce, and own defects through resolution in iterations.
• Enforce KPI gating for Sev 1/Sev 2 and coordinate with platform teams.
• Feed KPI reporting with defect density, escape rate, and automation coverage.
