TELUS Digital AI Community is seeking a Specialist in AI Consulting Governance & Strategy to translate regulatory requirements into actionable roadmaps. You will work at the intersection of business, law, and technology to design frameworks for safe, scalable AI deployments.

This independent contractor role emphasizes ethical, transparent AI and global collaboration across the TELUS network, with flexible scheduling and remote work.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law (Digital/Tech focus), Management Information Systems, or Ethics/Philosophy.
• An MBA or JD is highly preferred.
• Native-level proficiency in your primary language is mandatory.
• Minimum B1 (Intermediate) English proficiency to collaborate with our global community.

Responsabilidades

• Strategic roadmap development with executive stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and ROI targets.
• Governance framework design with accountability models, policy guidelines, and ethical review processes.
• Regulatory compliance & risk management with EU AI Act, GDPR, NIST RMF; mitigate bias, privacy, security.
• Ethical oversight & transparency with model explainability and fairness rubrics.
• Organizational change & literacy; conduct workshops to bridge the AI expertise barrier.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Strategic Roadmap Development: Collaborate with executive stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and align them with long-term business objectives and ROI targets.
• Governance Framework Design: Build and implement robust AI governance structures, including accountability models (RACI), policy guidelines, and ethical review processes.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Lead cross-functional assessments to ensure alignment with global standards (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, NIST RMF) and mitigate risks related to bias, privacy, and security.
• Ethical Oversight & Transparency: Develop rubrics for Model Explainability and Fairness, ensuring that AI-driven decisions are traceable, unbiased, and socially responsible.
• Organizational Change & Literacy: Facilitate workshops and training programs to bridge the "AI expertise barrier," fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and ethical AI adoption.

What You Bring (Mandatory Qualifications)

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law (Digital/Tech focus), Management Information Systems, or Ethics/Philosophy. An MBA or JD is highly preferred.
• Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language is mandatory to navigate regional legal nuances and lead local stakeholder engagements.
• English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English to collaborate with our global community and interpret international regulatory frameworks.

Strategy Experience

2–3 years of experience in management consulting, digital transformation, or corporate governance with a focus on emerging technologies.

Assessment

In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.
