Job summary

TELUS Digital invites experienced professionals to join our global safety community as an independent contractor. You will conduct adversarial testing sessions, employing jailbreaking techniques to probe model vulnerabilities, and document findings to strengthen guardrails.

You will map social, political, and cultural sensitivities across languages to prevent blind spots, and collaborate with policy teams to refine ethical guidelines. Remote, flexible engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ethics, Cyber Law, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Proficient English, minimum B1, to document safety findings.
• Native-level fluency in at least one language with strong cultural knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-stakes adversarial testing sessions, employing creative "jailbreaking" techniques to probe model vulnerabilities.
• Map regional social, political, and religious sensitivities to help the model avoid cultural "blind spots" in diverse global markets.
• Synthesize safety findings into comprehensive risk reports, collaborating with Policy Teams to update model safety guardrails.
• Evaluate the model’s ethical decision‑making in "gray-area" scenarios, ensuring it prioritizes human safety and institutional values.

Qualification path

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethics, Cyber Law, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English to document safety findings.
• Language: Native‑level fluency in at least one language.
• Context: Deep knowledge of the social and cultural norms of your native language/region.

Assessment:

In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.

Payment:

Currently, pay rates for experts range from $18 - $50 USD per hour
