Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems powering next‑gen experiences across products. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in AI engineering, software development, intelligent systems, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience building, integrating, or deploying AI agents, chatbots, or automation solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including FastAPI, and familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and testing.
• Experience with API design and integration (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Understanding of ML concepts including fine-tuning, embeddings, evaluation, prompts, LLMs, RAG.
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval architectures (Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Understanding of DevOps/MLOps practices, CI/CD, telemetry, production deployment.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI agents and workflow-based systems for autonomous reasoning and decision‑making.
• Implement AI workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and similar tools for tool use and memory.
• Integrate agents with APIs, databases, and third-party tools for intelligent automation.
• Develop API wrappers or connectors for enterprise systems and external services.
• Modernise APIs for AI interoperability, observability, and security.
• Support MCP or similar standards to enable agent-system communication.
• Fine‑tune and deploy custom ML/models within the agentic pipeline.
• Support MLOps workflows including CI/CD, environment setup, and telemetry.
• Monitor and improve deployed AI systems via feedback loops and observability metrics.
• Adhere to Responsible AI guidelines in all implementations.
• Document designs and maintain production‑ready code with senior engineers.
