Job summary

Thrivemodal is seeking a dependable After Hours Dispatcher to join our logistics team in Metro Manila. You will monitor shipments, support drivers, and resolve issues during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring smooth freight movement and high customer service.

You will use McLeod Software to dispatch drivers, update records, and communicate with drivers and customers while maintaining accurate logs and adhering to DOT/HOS regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation dispatch, logistics coordination, or freight operations.
• McLeod Software experience is required.
• Strong understanding of truckload transportation and dispatch operations.
• Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and DOT compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple situations simultaneously.
• High level of professionalism and customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and transportation technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor active shipments and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Utilize McLeod Software to manage loads, update shipment statuses, dispatch drivers, and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during after-hours operations.
• Respond to driver emergencies, equipment breakdowns, weather delays, detention, and service disruptions.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, brokers, and receivers to communicate shipment updates and resolve issues.
• Track freight using GPS and load tracking systems.
• Update customer information, notes, appointments, and shipment milestones within McLeod.
• Identify potential service failures and proactively implement solutions.
• Arrange recovery plans for delayed or failed loads.
• Coordinate with maintenance vendors, towing companies, and roadside assistance when necessary.
• Escalate critical issues to management according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and detailed communication notes.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and company safety policies.
• Prepare detailed turnover notes for the daytime operations team.
