This role focuses on supporting and operating the Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platform, ensuring its reliability, performance, security, and governance across the organization. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and operational support of the platform, including monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity management, gateway administration, and user access management.
The role also involves supporting Power BI reports, semantic models, and data refresh processes, while identifying and resolving platform, deployment, and performance issues. You will work closely with business users, data engineers, and platform administrators to ensure adherence to governance standards, security best practices, and operational excellence. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Power BI platform by evaluating new Microsoft Fabric capabilities, developing operational procedures, and promoting governance and best practices across the organization.
Required skills/experience (must-have)
- Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models, 4+ years
- Strong experience with DAX, including complex measures, filter context, row context, time intelligence, performance tuning, and calculation optimization, 4+ years
- Strong experience with Power Query and M language, 3+ years
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, star schema, fact and dimension tables, 3+ years
- Experience connecting Power BI to various data sources such as SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, Excel, REST APIs, and cloud storage, 3+ years
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI refreshes, semantic model performance, DAX queries, and report visuals, 3+ years
- Experience configuring and supporting the On‑premises Data Gateway, 2+ years
- Strong understanding of Power BI governance, including tenant administration, workspaces, gateways, capacities, security, and deployment pipelines, 2+ years
- Ability to troubleshoot Power BI platform, refresh, access, security, and deployment issues
Nice-to-have
- Experience working in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of GxP and regulated environments
- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with CI/CD implementation for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification or Fabric Data Engineer Associate
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio, with the ability to integrate these solutions with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Direct Lake, and semantic models.
- Experience using PowerShell, REST APIs, and SQL for administration and automation.

Work environment
- Hybrid set‑up (once a week onsite, and as required)

- Work hours can be between 11:00 AM to 12:00 MN (Manila time)
- Rotational work assignment on Philippine holidays
- Occasional and scheduled weekend work for platform maintenance and production deployments
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4 to 6+ years of hands‑on experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power BI solutions across both project delivery and production support environments.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric in enterprise environments is highly preferred.
