Job summary

AIA Philippines in Makati is seeking an experienced actuarial analyst to prepare monthly production requirements and valuations for OL/VUL/Group/A&H lines. You will support budgets and forecasts for Life operations, validate results with Prophet and SAS, and coordinate with IT and architecture teams to ensure data and system alignment.

The role requires 3+ years in life actuarial work, SOA exams, and strong English communication. Proficiency in Prophet and IFRS/PFRS accounting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering with strong mathematics
• At least 3 years actuarial experience in a life insurance company
• SOA exams: at least 3 exams or 2 exams + 3 VEEs passed
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and English communication

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Pre-Monthly Production requirements to ensure timely delivery of monthly production results
• Prepare and review monthly valuation of liabilities for OL/VUL/Group/A&H lines with financial report templates for submission
• Support actuarial estimates/projections/budgets for Life operations
• Review and endorse actuarial model in Prophet Workspace Manager
• Validate production results from Prophet, Subledger and SAS
• Coordinate with IT and Actuarial Architecture Teams to meet user requirements
• Contribute to IFRS 17 system solutions including production process manuals and documentation
• Perform UAT on data and systems
• Suggest enhancements in Actuarial modelling and reporting tools
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job description

• Prepare the Pre-Monthly Production requirements to ensure timely delivery of monthly production results
• Prepares and/or reviews the monthly valuation of liabilities for OL/VUL/Group/A&H lines of business together with all the financial report templates required for submission to other departments, the regional office, local management and insurance regulators.
• Support in the preparation of actuarial and financial estimates / projections / budgets for different Life operations of the company.
• Review, conduct testing, and endorse actuarial model for the Prophet Workspace Manager to sign-off
• Perform validation checks on production results from Prophet, Subledger and SAS
• Provide user requirement for various data and systems to IT and Actuarial Architecture Teams
• Coordinate with IT, Actuarial Architecture Teams or other teams to ensure that data and systems fulfill the user requirements
• Involve in detailed review and design of IFRS 17 system solutions including production process manuals and documentations.
• Perform UAT on data and systems.
• Provide suggestions and enhancements in Actuarial modelling and reporting tools applicable to the Valuation reporting process.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements
• Education – Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering with heavy applications in mathematics
• Experience – at least 3 years adequate technical experience in actuarial work for a life insurance company
• Certifications/licenses – At least 3 SOA exams or 2 SOA Exams + 3 VEEs passed.
• Special skills - Has knowledge and exposure in actuarial software especially Prophet and DCS; knowledgeable in IFRS and PFRS insurance accounting and reporting standards; proficient in MS Office applications; with good command in English (both oral and written).
