Job summary

Marand Resort (Family & Beach) seeks a CPA with 5–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, to manage accounting operations and financial controls in the La Union region.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing action plans; implementing standards; resolving problems; audits; identifying trends; improving systems.
  • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing reports.
  • Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Accomplishes BIR requirements, monthly, quarterly and yearly BIR filing, SEC compliance and processing.
  • Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
  • Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  • Accomplishes accounting HR objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff; communicating expectations; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies.

Job description

  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related course
  • With 5 to 6 years of demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or food and beverage environment, and quality with a background that includes forecasting and budgeting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting systems
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
