Job summary

Bigmate Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to supervise staff, review journal entries, reconciliations, and ledgers, and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

You will monitor bank reconciliations, ensure compliance with policies and standards, support month-end and year-end closings, participate in budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate audits. Mentorship and issue resolution are key parts of this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide accounting assistants, clerks, or junior accountants.
• Review journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor bank reconciliations and account balance reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and elevate significant issues when necessary.
