Job summary

Microgenesis in Mandaluyong is seeking an Accounting Supervisor (General Accountant) to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role is full-time and on-site, with responsibility for journal entries, general ledgers, and monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with internal teams for budgeting and compliance, and drive process improvements while upholding company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, particularly in general accounting and supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for management and regulatory purposes.
• Proficient in Accounting Software and related tools, with the ability to optimize workflows and maintain accurate records.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in a similar accounting supervisory role, preferably within an I.T. or technology-driven organization.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and commitment to regulatory and ethical compliance.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitors accounts payable and receivable, reconciles bank and ledger accounts, and coordinates with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements.
• Supervising and mentoring accounting staff, implementing process improvements, and ensuring adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory guidelines.
