Job Description
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. This role supervises the accounting team, supports financial reporting, and assists management by providing timely and accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month‑end closing.
- Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
- Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and other departments.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid background in General Accounting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an accounting function is preferred.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prepare and present financial reports clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
