Job Description
Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting payroll accounting activities.
This role supervises daily accounting operations, ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and provides timely financial information to support business decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- End-to-end accounting processes
- Responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, performing financial analysis and variance review, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and overseeing general ledger maintenance, including reconciliations and closing activities.
End-to-End Accounting Operations
- Supervise the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany Transactions, and accruals and provisions; ensure accurate and proper recording of all financial transactions; and implement internal control enhancements and process improvements.
Payroll Accounting
- Review and ensure accurate recording of payroll expenses, reconcile payroll-related accounts including salaries, taxes, benefits, and government contributions, coordinate with HR and Payroll for accuracy and compliance, and ensure timely filing and payment of statutory payroll obligations.
General Ledger Management
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, including account reconciliations, review and approval of journal entries, adjustments, and accruals; ensure proper account classification and compliance with accounting policies, manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities; and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit purposes.
