Responsibilities

• Staff accountants are responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions, updating the general ledger, and ensuring that all financial data is up-to-date and organized.
• They prepare various financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Staff accountants reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assisting with Audits: They gather and prepare documentation for both internal and external audits, ensuring that the company\'s financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
• Preparing Tax Returns: Staff accountants may assist with the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax.
• Ensuring Compliance: Staff accountants ensure that all financial transactions and reporting adhere to relevant accounting principles, such as GAAP, and company policies.
• Other Duties: Depending on the company, staff accountants may also be involved in tasks such as processing accounts payable and receivable, managing payroll, and preparing invoices.

Qualifications

• At least 4-6 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• At least 1-2 years experience in accounting supervisory role
• Knowledgeable in basic accounting principles and procedures: (Journal entries, general and financial statements)
• Experience in financial reporting: (Book of accounts, computation and filing of income TAX, VAT, WC, WE, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig, Payroll, etc.)
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot table, etc.)
• Proficiency with accounting software is a plus
