  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Willing to travel and render overtime, if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system or Excel monitoring.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial statements.
  • Review invoices and supporting documents.
  • Verify and process supplier invoices and payment requests.
  • Prepare payment schedules and coordinate disbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items.
  • Generate reports on revenue, expenses, and account balances.
  • Support and consolidate budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in variance analysis and account analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Prepare documentation for tax filings and government reportorial requirements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Monitor deadlines to ensure timely submission of requirements.
  • Prepare payroll per cut off.
  • Prepare payslips.
  • Assist in payroll-related accounting entries.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts
  • Record government contributions and payroll-related liabilities.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Conduct quarterly fixed asset count and reconcile with the fixed asset register.
  • Ensure proper tagging of fixed assets.
  • Reconcile inventory records with accounting records.
  • Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Analyze inventory variances and adjustments.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
  • Provide support to other departments regarding financial matters.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
