Job summary

ALLBANK (A THRIFT BANK), INC. is seeking a capable accounting professional to support the Accounting Head in reporting to BSP, PDIC, SEC, and BIR. The role involves approving RTGS, managing treasury placements, and consolidating GL/SL in the General Accountant's absence.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' controllership/finance experience, familiarity with BSP/PDIC/SEC reports, and preferably a CPA. This position is based in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year degree course in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in controllership/accounting and finance.
• Preferably with experience in BSP/PDIC/SEC reports.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting Head in preparing and submitting BSP, PDIC, SEC and BIR reportorial requirements.
• Approve RTGS transactions and ensure documents are complete before BSP Philpass Plus processing.
• Oversee treasury activities including reserves, RRP, TDF and ODF placements and cross-check with Treasury/General Accountant.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists the Accounting Head in the preparation and submission of reportorial requirements for BSP, PDIC, SEC and BIR.

2. Approves RTGS (outgoing & incoming transactions). Makes sure that the documents are complete and accurate before transacting via BSP Philpass Plus system.

3. Approves trading/amount placed in the RRP,TDF & ODF. Computes reserve requirements and compares it with the computation of the Treasury Officer/General Accountant before placement.

4. GL / SL Consolidation (In the absence of the General Accountant)

   - Posting of manual Journal Entries (Accounting books)

   - Performs the daily End of Day Process and Year End-End of Day Process as a Consolidator (In coordination with IT Department if problem occurs.

5. Substitute in the weekly preparation and submission of CDRC Reports in the absence of the General Accountant. (Deadline is every Friday for a specific cut-off week)

6. Substitute in the daily balancing of DDA, checking the reconciling items before closing of books. (In the absence of the General Accountant - Branches)

7. Substitute in the monthly FX revaluation in the absence of the General Accountant (Branch)

8. In-charge in the preparation of Monthly ITRS Report to BSP

9. Monitors the payment for the Bank’s Insurance policies & the monthly amortization. Maintains the Insurance Masterfile in coordination with the Accounting Head.

10. Monitors the weekly branch closing and email it to the CFO, Accounting Head, BOSD Head and other concerned personnel

11. Confirms daily MC issuances , Inwards, unposted checks and other reconciliation to Clearing Department

12. Emails Monthly Balance Sheet/Income Statement to the CFO.

13. Maps the GL entries for new products/transactions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Education Graduate of any four (4) year degree course in Accountancy.

Experience Minimum of 2 years-experience in Controllership/Accounting and Finance.

Preferably with experience in BSP/PDIC/SEC reports.

Preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
