Job summary

GoTyme Bank Corporation is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the payroll lending accounting function, ensuring timely close, accurate financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The role involves coaching the accounting team, coordinating with auditors, and driving process improvements across ERP and GL systems.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5+ years in accounting within financial services, and experience with PFRS, SEC reporting, and large-scale month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience in banking/financial services.
• Big 4 audit/financial services experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for payroll lending business; manage close calendar, journal entries, trial balances.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports per PFRS; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure correct accounting for loans and receivables and provisioning.
• Oversee reconciliations with settlement partners, bank accounts, intercompany balances; resolve items promptly.
• Ensure data feeds for BSP FRP and other reports are accurate and timely.
• Prepare SEC and regulator filings; review returns and tax computations.
• Monitor changes in PFRS, BSP circulars, tax regs; advise on policy updates.
• Act as primary accounting contact during external audit, BSP examinations, internal audit.
• Lead process improvements to shorten close cycle and improve data quality; enhance core banking, ERP, GL systems.
• Coach Accounting Officers and AP team on technical accounting, reconciliation, closing procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field

CPA certification (preferred)

Experience in banking/financial services

Experience in Big 4 audit/Financial services (advantage)
