Job summary

HRTX in Pasay is seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to oversee daily accounting operations, close processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will lead a skilled team, drive internal controls, coordinate with auditors and regulators, and partner with management on budgeting and tax compliance. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel; strong analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management.

Work Setup: Monday to Friday, Full Onsite
Location: Pasay

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies while maintaining effective internal controls.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team, providing guidance to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and other departments to support audits, regulatory requirements, and financial planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two (2) years in a managerial or people management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
