Job summary

QQ English (Philippines) is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Cebu Accounting team. The role combines technical accounting expertise with people leadership, focusing on accounting reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.

You will oversee ERP and accounting systems, mentor the team, and ensure timely financial reporting while maintaining strong controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of BIR compliance and tax audit management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is highly preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems such as SAP or QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and records.
• Oversee ERP and accounting systems to maintain reliable financial data and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while driving accountability and performance.
• Manage BIR filings, including VAT, withholding taxes, and income taxes, and coordinate tax audits.
• Strengthen accounting policies, controls, and processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
