Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant for an on-site role in Quezon City. Candidates should have 5+ years total experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPA is an advantage. Responsibilities include reviewing AP vouchers, vendor enrollment, month/year-end closings, and preparing financial statements.

Knowledge of BIR rulings and PFRS, plus proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, are required. External audit exposure is preferred, with SAP/Oracle experience a plus.

Qualifications

• CPA is an advantage.
• With at least 5 years total working experience.
• With at least 2 years External Audit experience.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle or any accounting software.
• Knowledgeable in BIR rulings and PFRS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review and approval of AP vouchers
• Review and approval of vendor enrollment forms
• Oversee Month/Year-end closing of accounting books
• Preparation of Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
• Prepare accounting schedules to support Financial statements
• Income and expense analysis
• Answer queries from banks and auditors
• Trains accounting specialists and assistants
• Prepare Annualization and Withholding Tax on Compensation
• Assist the Accounting Manager with the year-end self audit of accounting books; and
• Other related accounting tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager, as needed.
