SM Supermalls is seeking an Accounting Manager to provide timely and accurate financial reporting to management, implement effective accounting controls, and safeguard company assets. The role oversees the review of income statements, notes, and general ledger reconciliations while driving process improvements.

The incumbent will lead a team of processors and validators, offering coaching and ensuring high standards of customer care and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Six years of general accounting and financial reporting experience, including three years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience in shared services or managing new teams is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Excel and MS Office applications; SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to coach and develop team members and maintain high customer care standards.

Aufgaben

• Deliver timely, accurate financial reports to management in approved formats.
• Review income statements, notes to financial statements, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in addressing internal and external stakeholder questions related to financial reports.
• Identify areas for process improvements and reinforce internal controls and procedures.
• Manage processors and validators, providing coaching and training as needed.

The Accounting Manager will provide relevant, accurate, complete, and timely financial reports to Management. He or she will implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies and procedures in safeguarding the company's assets.

Report Management:

• Delivers the financial reports to management within the agreed timeframe and format.
• Reviews the income statements and notes to the financial statements.
• If necessary, analyze all pertinent financial information in relation to the review of income statements and notes to financial statements.
• Reviews general ledger, balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and substantiations.
• Assists in handling concerns from internal and external customers with financial reports.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Identifies potential areas for improvement, recommends appropriate policies and procedures, and internal controls.

People Management:

• Manages processors and validators that are responsible in the day-to-day operations.
• Performs consistent and effective coaching sessions to address performance gaps. Attends necessary training programs.

Job Requirements:

• At least six (6) years of work experience in general accounting and financial reporting, three (3) years at least of which is with a managerial or supervisory function. Work experience in internal/external financial audit can also be considered.
• Preferably with experience in managing new teams focused on providing shared services capability.
• Adept in the use of MS Office Applications (especially MS Excel).
• Preferably with experience in SAP or other ERPs/specialty solutions.
• Ability to develop team members and champion strong positive team spirit.
• Proficient in the performance of account reconciliations.
• Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.
• Ability to operate successfully in a lean organization.
• Ability to provide high standards of customer care.
