Job summary

Gladex Travel & Tours Corp. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead a team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

The role requires strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations, with a focus on internal controls and process improvements. The position is on-site in Binondo, Manila, with a 6-day work week and competitive compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in an Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager role.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting principles and taxation.
• Familiarity with BIR, SEC, and other relevant government requirements.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and make sound financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, expenses, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Review and monitor tax computations and BIR filings.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and improve accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls.
• Review receipts, vouchers, invoices, and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate members of the accounting team.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Identify discrepancies, financial risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
