Job summary

Ultra Manpower Solutions Corp. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.

You will work closely with the VP for Finance on financial operations and reporting, supervise the department’s QA system, and handle remittances from overseas principals. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accountancy, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• CPA license is highly preferred but not required
• At least three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in the maritime, shipping, or crew management industry is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance
• Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department

• Perform financial duties assigned by the Company President
• Serve as the primary financial contact for overseas principals by handling financial inquiries and correspondence

• Conduct final verification of monthly General Shipping Accounts (G.S.A.) reports and other assigned principal accounts
• Review and approve final wages and settlements of disembarked crew members
• Oversee accounting matters involving Protection and Indemnity (P&I) claims and insurance
• Manage treasury functions, company checks, cash monitoring, and bank reconciliations

About the role
