The incumbent is in charge of managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department and ensuring that financial statements are prepared and accurately and promptly.
Responsible in ensuring that all governmental reports of the company are prepared regularly and submitted promptly to the government in coordination with the external auditors.

Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports
- Reviewing financial reports and financial forecasts
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Work closely with staff to improve existing or introduce new skills and processes where necessary
- Oversee and review governmental remittances and reports
- Develop and implement new procedures that will enhance the efficiency of the group
- Coordinating and working together with external auditors in the preparation of audited financial reports
- Preparation of reports as required by the Company Head and Group Head such as but not limited to the following:
- Cash / BS Analysis
- Alphalist – Compensation
- Checking of Trade APVouchers, JVs, CMs, DMs and Bank Reconciliations
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is generally required. Some employers may prefer or require a Master's degree (e.g., MBA or Master of Science in Accounting).
- Certification: The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred and often required for senior or managerial roles, as it demonstrates advanced technical expertise and professionalism.
- Experience: Usually requires a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
- Management Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or management role is essential, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Audit Experience: Experience with coordinating and managing annual external audits is frequently necessary.
