Job summary

TOP Creamery, a leader in high-quality ingredients for beverages and desserts, seeks a Finance & Accounting leader in the Philippines. The role supervises GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets, ensures timely closings, and prepares financial statements in line with PFRS.

You will drive cost control, budgeting, and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing context. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accountancy, manufacturing experience, and strong ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy required.
• Solid accounting experience with supervisory/managerial exposure.
• Experience in manufacturing/food & beverage is an advantage.
• Cost accounting expertise is essential.
• ERP systems experience with NetSuite/Zoho or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Payroll).
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Maintain records in accordance with Philippine standards (PFRS).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Coordinate tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and internal controls.
• Supervise accounting staff and provide training.

Department: Finance & Accounting

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

• Oversee general accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Payroll).
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Maintain accounting records in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Manage chart of accounts and accounting policies.

2. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Oversee product costing (coffee, ice cream, beverage lines).
• Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuation.
• Review Bill of Materials (BOM) and costing updates.
• Ensure proper inventory reconciliation and physical count procedures.
• Implement cost control measures to improve gross margins.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Analyze actual vs. budget performance.
• Provide financial insights to Operations and Sales teams.
• Support pricing strategy through cost analysis.

4. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of BIR requirements (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax).
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Ensure compliance with SEC and other government agencies.
• Monitor tax exposures and risk areas.

5. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor cash position and forecast cash requirements.
• Oversee receivables collection and payable cycles.
• Optimize inventory turnover and minimize obsolete stocks.
• Establish and enforce internal controls over financial reporting.
• Ensure segregation of duties in finance processes.
• Prevent fraud and financial irregularities.
• Oversee internal audit coordination.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Provide training on accounting systems and procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and integrity.

8. Systems & Process Improvement

• Recommend workflow improvements.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy

Experience:

• With solid experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage (Food & Beverage preferred)
• Strong background in cost accounting

Technical Skills:

• ERP system experience (NetSuite, Zoho or similar)
