You will coordinate with auditors, prepare budgets, and drive internal controls to safeguard assets while ensuring timely statutory submissions. Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in accounting leadership, knowledge of taxation, and proficient communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• 4–5 years in accounting leadership or managerial role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance.
• Analytical thinking, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of automated accounting systems.
• CPA (optional).

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation, analysis, and recording of financial transactions.

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports.
• Approve vouchers and journal entries and ensure correct recording.
• Maintain updated ledgers and review general ledger accounts.

• Coordinate timely preparation of statutory reports.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and government counterparts on compliance.
• Set departmental goals and prepare budgets.
• Communicate performance standards and KPIs to the team.
• Motivate, coach, and support team members.
• Participate in hiring and cross-functional coordination.

About the role

This role is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling all accounting and financial reporting activities to support timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations. The position is primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork for coordination and document submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation, analysis, and recording of financial transactions

• Review financial statements and recommend actions to Management

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports

• Ensure correct and timely recording of transactions and approve vouchers and journal entries

• Maintain updated ledgers and review general ledger accounts

• Establish and enforce accounting systems and internal controls

• Implement policies to safeguard company assets and review fixed asset records, valuations, and depreciation

• Oversee preparation of audit schedules and discuss findings with management

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports

• Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and government-related counterparts on accounting and compliance matters

• Set departmental goals aligned with company objectives and prepare budgets

• Communicate performance standards and KPIs to the team

About you
