Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is desirable.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accounting, finance, or business-related degree programme.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
• Reliable and professional attitude with a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Entering financial data into accounting software and systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assisting with the preparation of trial balances and financial statements.
• Organising and filing financial documents and supporting records.
• Assisting with the preparation of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.

About the role

Open Innovation Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team as an Accounting Intern based in Metro Manila. This is a part-time position designed to provide practical experience in bookkeeping and small practice accounting within a professional environment. As an Accounting Intern, you will support the daily operations of our accounting department whilst developing foundational skills in financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world accounting scenarios and gain valuable industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and ledgers
