Job summary

Pronto Pilates is seeking an Accountant to join our growing finance team. This full-time remote role focuses on keeping the general ledger in order, supporting month-end close, and delivering clear management reports to guide leadership decisions.

You'll handle AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and variance analysis while collaborating with operations. Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero are highly desirable for accurate financial insights.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a full general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll processing
• Excellent Excel skills — you're comfortable helping others with spreadsheets
• A track record of producing clear, accurate management reports and variance analysis
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the full general ledger and preparing monthly trial balances
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving variances
• Assisting with annual financial statements
• Processing journal entries, accruals, prepayments and adjustments
• Managing fixed assets, depreciation schedules and asset registers
• Handling Accounts Payable and day-to-day transactions
• Processing monthly payroll and contractor payments
• Preparing management reports, variance analysis and commentary for leadership
• Monitoring cash flow, working capital and key financial metrics
• Spotting opportunities to improve our systems and workflows
• Providing insights to support budgeting and forecasting

As our Accountant, your mission is to keep our financial house in order — from the general ledger to management reporting — so leadership can make confident, well-informed decisions. You'll own the day-to-day accounting, support month-end and year-end processes, and be the go-to person for financial questions across the business.

You'll work closely with our operations and Accounts teams, and you'll have the chance to bring your Excel expertise to the wider team — sharing knowledge, building better tools, and helping us keep improving how we work.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

Are you someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and doesn't let details slip through the cracks?

To be considered for an interview, you should have:

• Proven experience managing a full general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll processing
• Excellent Excel skills — you're comfortable being the person others come to for spreadsheet help
• A track record of producing clear, accurate management reports and variance analysis
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork

It's a bonus if you also bring:

• Experience with Xero
• Knowledge of Australian GST and income tax
• Knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax
• A genuine interest in supporting budgeting and forecasting
• A responsive, reliable communication style
• The flexibility to roll with changing priorities and processes
