Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an experienced Accountant in Quezon City to join the global accounting team. You will review daily transactions, run reconciliations, and support month-end closes while ensuring policy compliance and proper documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, 5+ years in accounts payable/general accounting/audit, and strong Excel skills. Multinational exposure and Oracle/SAP Ariba familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from a reputable college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years combined work experience in accounts payable, general accounting, and/or audit.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Exposure to multinational operations and experience with Oracle, SAP Ariba, and automated expense management tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and process daily accounting transactions with accuracy and internal controls.
• Utilize accounting systems (e.g., Ariba, Oracle Fusion, Certify) and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare reconciliations, analyses, journal entries, and support month-end close activities.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and payment coordination with Treasury.
• Support reporting, audits, and process improvements with organized records and documentation.

What you’ll own:

• Review and process daily accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy, validity, and complete supporting documentation while applying internal controls.
• Utilize accounting systems (e.g., Ariba, Oracle Fusion, Certify) and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare reconciliations, analyses, journal entries, and support month-end close activities in line with global timelines.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment coordination with Treasury, and handling related transactions (payroll and compensation, fixed assets, prepayments, intercompany).
• Support reporting, audits, and process improvements by maintaining organized records, preparing reports, and assisting with documentation and projects.

What you’ll bring:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from a reputable college or university.
• Minimum of (5) years combined work experience in accounts payable, general accounting, and/or audit.
• Skilled in using any accounting software/application;
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Fluent in English – as used in effective verbal and written communications

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Certified Public Accountant
• Exposure to multinational operations will be helpful.
• Experienced in using Oracle, SAP Ariba, and any automated expense management tools.
• Exposure to project management: includes skills in planning, time management, communication, risk management, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt and negotiate.
