Job summary

Mastercard is seeking an Associate Accountant to support bank reconciliations, postings in Oracle, and income statement schedules. The role reports to the Mastercard Transaction Services Accounting Manager and involves collaboration with multiple entities and cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate will have a Finance/Accounting qualification, proficiency in Excel and Oracle, and strong analytical and communication skills to contribute to statutory audits and routine accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Finance/Accounting qualification is a must.
• Proficiency with accounting and finance systems/software applications (e.g., Excel and Oracle).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accounting activities under supervision and guidance; perform routine tasks.
• Prepare bank reconciliation schedules for multiple accounts across entities.
• Verify transactions in Transfast Central (TFC) against bank statements.
• Compare Oracle ending balances with bank statements.
• Post daily bank transactions in Oracle.
• Conduct 3-way reconciliation across TFC, Oracle, and bank statements.
• Oversee the bank reconciliation process for assigned accounts.
• Prepare income statements and other schedules for MTS US LLC and support statutory audits.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
