Job summary

Concentrix seeks an Accountant I to support GL/R2R processes within our Global Shared Services. The role focuses on journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, month-end close, and adherence to SOX controls, while driving process improvements in a fast-paced BPO environment.

You will collaborate with Controllership, Finance, Tax, and AP/AR teams, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery of accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accountancy required.
• 5+ years accounting experience in GL/R2R.
• Experience in shared services or BPO environment.
• Lean Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze journal entries to maintain data integrity.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear reconciling items per SOX requirements.
• Maintain journal checklist to track month-end close activities.
• Perform automated Sage runs (prepayments, recurring entries, revenue allocation, reversals).
• Perform monthly flux analysis for data accuracy.
• Drive process improvements for productivity, quality, controls and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure processes comply with global standards and SOX controls.
• Meet or exceed targets as per performance scorecard.
• Collaborate with Global processes, Controllership, Finance, Tax, AP/AR teams.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Accountant I

Job Description

Accountant I- GLSS Core General Ledger will directly report to Supervisor/Manager, Accounting. He will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, executing relevant closing activities, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze journal entries to ensure financial data integrity.
• Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations with quality, compliant with SOX requirement, and any open/reconciling items are cleared.
• Maintain journal checklist to keep track of activities as it fall due particularly during month end close
• Perform automated run processes in Sage such as prepayment, recurring entries, revenue apportionment and reversal entries.
• Perform monthly flux analysis for data completeness and accuracy.
• Drive continuous process improvement that would yield productivity efficiencies, improved quality of work, enhanced controls and compliance, customer satisfaction, etc.
• Ensure that processes are compliant with the global standards and SOX controls.
• Meet or exceed targets as pre-determined on the performance scorecard.
• Collaborate and maintain strong business engagement with other verticals like Global processes, Controllership, Finance, Tax, Employee expenses, Accounts payable and Accounts receivable teams.
• Any other function as may be delegated by immediate lead (supervisor).

Candidate Profile

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Overall professional experience in accounting of at least 5 years, particularly in areas of General Ledger/Record-to-Report
• Experience working in a shared services environment or BPO industry
• Has an eye for continuous process improvement, lean six sigma training/certification is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter, has sense of urgency, and works well under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet timelines on deliverables
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
