John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing accounting professional based in Makati to support month-end close, inventory costing, and cost reporting. The role collaborates with Supply Chain and Corporate teams to resolve variances and drive efficient financial close.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accountancy, a CPA or cost accounting designation, and 2–4 years of manufacturing/inventory accounting experience. SAP, OneStream, and BI tools are preferred.
Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account analysis, close schedules, and supporting documentation.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, logistics-related accounts, and other supply chain balances.
Investigate and resolve accounting variances related to inventory valuation, purchase price variances (PPV), freight costs, and standard costing.
Generate and analyze recurring inventory, cost, logistics, and variance reports to support financial reporting and decision-making.
Support inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve analysis, adjustments, and reconciliations.
Assist with accounting processes related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and inventory valuation.
Partner with Supply Chain Accounting teams to review and analyze standard costs, PPV, inventory valuation, and other cost accounting activities.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support an efficient financial close.
Identify and implement opportunities to standardize, streamline, and improve supply chain accounting processes through documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required.
CPA or Registered Cost Accountant designation preferred.
2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, inventory, cost, or supply chain accounting.
Experience supporting month-end close, inventory accounting, standard costing, or supply chain accounting preferred.
Experience with SAP required; experience with OneStream, Power BI, inventory systems, or costing systems preferred.
Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or distribution accounting processes preferred.
Ability to work onsite in Makati three days per week following assigned work schedule - mid and night shift.
