Job summary

Miescor Builders Inc. is seeking a qualified CPA Accountant to join our finance team in Quezon City. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal control improvements across the company’s accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a BS Accountancy, CPA certification, and strong knowledge of finance, auditing, and taxation. Local practice and willingness to start ASAP are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and investment planning.
• Prepare budget guidelines and templates; consolidate and review budgets.
• Handle budget transfers, supplements, and carry-overs.
• Evaluate variance between budget and actual results.
• Analyze financial statements and perform FS analyses.
• Update Master Data and review finance policies.

• The Accountant (CPA) reviews the records to determine the Company’s financial position and any challenges required to run the organization’s cost effectively. He/she is responsible in posting, processing, recording, monitoring, safekeeping and analyzing various financial accounts. He/she is accountable in providing support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payables, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Participate in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and investment planning, to align financial strategies with business objectives.


• Preparation of budget guidelines and templates. Consolidation and review of budgets based on guidelines.


• Handling of budget transfer, supplemental and carry over requests.


• Evaluation of variance between budget and actual.


• Calculation of interpretation of FS Analyses.


• Update of Master Data.


• Review and update of finance policies and procedures.


• Introduce process improvements.


• Preparation of Report Dashboards.


• Managing and recording intercompany transactions.


• Ensures accurate and timely compliance in the preparation and remittance of all government reportorial requirements (Quarterly corporate income tax returns, Monthly and Quarterly VAT return, Expanded Withholding tax, Withholding tax on compensation, Business Permit, and the like.)


• Prepare documents for BIR requirements and examination for LA, LIN, etc.


• Responsible for the computation of the correct amount of taxes to be filed to BIR.


• Knowledgeable to the latest tax laws and regulations.
