Job summary

BJ Mercantile Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Quezon City for a full-time on-site role. The position requires 3–5 years of experience in taxation, BIR compliance, and LOA cases, with a strong grasp of Philippine tax laws and Excel proficiency.

The role focuses on preparing financial statements, ensuring tax filings, and coordinating with auditors and government agencies to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA is an advantage.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in taxation, BIR compliance, and handling Letter of Authority (LOA) cases.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and tax compliance processes.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports.
• Handle BIR LOA cases, including the preparation and submission of required documents.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing and payment of national and local tax obligations.
• Monitor compliance with Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, BIR representatives, and other government agencies during audits and tax assessments.
• Prepare tax computations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while maintaining complete and organized accounting records.
• Assist management by providing accurate financial information and analyses to support business decisions.
