Kuhn Artisanales Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records for the restaurant, handle general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing in line with company policies and Philippine standards.
You will reconcile POS sales with receipts and bank deposits, manage AP/AR, prepare monthly reports, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
About the role
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records of the restaurant. The position handles general accounting, account reconciliation, sales and cash reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and month-end closing in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Key responsibilities
Record and maintain accurate daily accounting transactions and journal entries
Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts
Reconcile daily restaurant sales with POS records, cash collections, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and bank deposits
Monitor and maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records
Perform regular bank, cash, and account reconciliations
Record and reconcile inventory-related accounting transactions and variances
Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and account analyses
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and adjusting entries
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unreconciled balances
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable Philippine accounting and tax regulations
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferably 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or hospitality industry
Knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and sales reconciliation
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage
Knowledge of Philippine accounting and tax requirements is preferred
CPA license is an advantage but not required
Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
